CEIA 30th Anniversary
My first visits to enameling factories in China began about 25 years ago and the industry has changed in many ways since then. I experienced this progress first-hand during a visit in December 2014. The China Enamelware Industry Association (CEIA) has been a significant factor in the growth and development of vitreous enameling in China. Not only are many factories using “state-of-the-art” technology, they are also better organized in terms of work flow, labor utilization and housekeeping.
It has been a real pleasure for me to have met many enamelers from China over the past 25 years; some during my visits to China and some at international meetings and some during visits in the USA. I can certainly say that I have made many new friends and look forward to continuing those relationships in the years to come.
CEIA is well positioned to continue its positive influence on the vitreous enamel industry in China; I congratulate you on your 30th anniversary and I expect to see a continuation of your great work for many years into the future.

中国搪瓷工业协会实是中国搪瓷工业上成长和发展的一个重要因素，不仅很多工厂使用了先进的技术，他们在工作流程方面、劳动效率和生产管理上也更有组织。
在过去的25年间，在中国遇见了很多从事搪瓷的同业，对我来说是一件非常愉快事。有一些是我在访问中国的时候遇见的，有一些是在参加国际会议是时候遇见的，还有一部分是在美国访问时认识的，我可以肯定的说，我结交了很多新朋友，期待在未来的岁月继续这些关系。
中国搪瓷工业协会在中国将继续发挥其积极的影响力，我祝贺协会成立30周年，我期待看到在未来延续你们伟大的工作。
